Chitlada Shop at Phuket Airport

Chitralada shops in Support Foundation under the patronage of HM Queen Sirikit have long been outlets for products made by Thai villagers and farmers. The Foundation not only creates additional income for them, but also promotes Thai folk arts. It always comes up with new products for Thais and foreign shoppers to enjoy each year. The Chitralada shop at Phuket International Airport is among the 14 popular outlets. The shop not only serves Thai customers, but also foreign passengers. The customers are well taken care of by the chair of the outlet and shop attendants. Thaisikar Praisa-Ngob, Chair of the Chitralada shop, Phuket International Airport: "This fabric is cotton which is weaved by villagers from various communities. They come with nice patterns such as Cassia agnes bouget, Crown Flower and jasmine. There are cotton fabrics with attractive patterns, Thai finished textiles, basketry, and polo shirts with the pattern graciously designed by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. These types of products increase every year." There are products which clearly display traditional ways of life such as 'Ploy' -- a Thai doll in traditional outfit. The dolls are dressed in colorful Thai silk costumes.
